With glossy green leaves and the familiar cluster of flowers, candytuft is another wildflower that was taken into gardens centuries ago. Being one of the best white flowers for cutting, it is also great to use in rock gardens, or for edging in beds. Candytuft was used as a herbal remedy for rheumatism in colonial America and has been used as a seasoning for centuries. Candytuft is a member of the mustard family (Brassicaceae).
