Introduced, Growth Habit: Bunchgrass, Mature Height: 12” to 24” tall, Water Requirement: 8” and higher precip, Seeds per lb: 160,000, Seeding Rate: 8 to 10 lbs/ac. A highly digestible, long season grass. It starts early in spring and remains green and palatable through summer as long as soil moisture is available. Growth and recovery after grazing is excellent. Very slow to establish, but once established produces an immense mass of fibrous roots. Used primarily in areas where crested wheatgrass is adapted.
